Kannada Koota is a vibrant group where multiple generations get together to celebrate the art, music, culture and rich linguistic traditions of the great state of Karnataka and the Royal Mysore Kingdom.
HAPPY SANKRANTHI
The harvest season is here !! The harvest festival occurs in January every year when the Sun moves into the Zodiac sign of Makar (Capricon) and has a religious as well as a seasonal significance. The festival is dedicated to the Hindu deity of Surya (Sun God) and marks the end of the cold winter season and the beginning of the spring season with good harvests and lengthier days to spend.
KARNATAKA CULTURAL CAPITAL OF INDIA
Karnataka has been the embodiment of rich culture and heritage that depicts its unique diverse styles has attracted over the years.
History of various great empires and dynasties that ruled Karnataka have enriched it with great style of architecture, language (kannada), music, dance forms that are echoed till date.
Literature with abundant knowledge of great minds have enlightened the depth of the oceans that has received many accolades all over the world. other
The geography of karnataka with long coastlines called karavalli, the mountains of the western Ghats called malenadu rising about 900m above sea levels welcoming the moderate to heavy monsoons. The Deccan Plateau called Bayalu seeme with dry and arid climate have made this an heavenly abode. The soil enriched with the arteries of Mother Cauvery flowing along with her tributaries and other great rivers have contributed to its fertile lands and nature loving culture.
The delicacies of this land, bisi bele bath, mysore masala dosa, hot mangalore bajjis and boondas, vangi bath, Melukote iyengar's puliyogare, mysore pak, belagavi kunda, Dharwad pedha and many more are some of the famous and mouth watering menus in all eatery hotspots have attracted the taste buds all over the world. The famous traditional Coorg Kappi has secured one of the finest coffee beans in the world is grown on the tropical mountain ranges of the Western Ghats.

Ugadi
ಯುಗಾದಿ
Ugadi at the beginning of the new year is the most significant as it symbolizes the peace and prosperity, good health that it brings in our lives. At ICC we celebrate it with sharing the traditional beevu-bella to bring about the equality of happiness and sorrow and make us balanced.
At ICC we welcome the new year delight hoping to have a great beginning for all.
Dasara
ದಸರ
Dasara also known as Nada Habba is celebrated in the month of October signifying the glory of good over evil. The Goddess Sri Chamundeeshwari Amma blesses her children with all her love and protection and brings about joy and harmony. At ICC we celebrate offering our prayers and mouth watering delicacies to her and get her divine blessings.
Deepavali
ದೀಪಾವಳಿ
The festival signifying the victory of light over darkness, joy on the occasion of Sri.Lord Rama returning to Ayodhya and also the killing of the demon Narkasura by Lord Krishna. This festivities last for 5 days. Diyas, sweets and savouries are the integral part of this festivals.
At ICC, Deepavali is celebrated with lots of fun and gaiety. Mouth watering dishes are exchanged, various cultural activities are held.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಸೊಗಸಾದ, ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಭಾಷೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯನು ಹೆಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಮಾಲೆಯಲಿ 49 ಅಕ್ಷರಗಲಿವೆ.
ಹಲವಾರು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಗಾರರು ಹಾಗು ಕವಿಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲೀ ಶ್ರಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು, ಶ್ರಿ ಮಾಸ್ಥಿ ಅಂಗಾರ್, ಶ್ರಿ ದ.ರಾ.ಬೇಂದ್ರೆ, ವಿ.ಕೄ.ಗೋಕಾಕ, ಚಂದ್ರಶೆಖರ ಕಂಬಾರ, ಯು. ಆರ್. ಅನಂತಮೂತಿ ಮಿಂಚಿದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು. ಜ಼ಾನಪೀಠ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತೀ 8 ಬಾರಿ ದೊರಿತಿದೆ ಉತಮ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಮೇರೆದೀದೆ.
